The place was in a strip mall: Denny’s, Donut Star, Ringo’s

Modified Produce, Fantastic Wok. It was a DEPOTsition. I’ve

heard that On The Record has better food (fried finger waffles, little

ginger pies), but the DEPOT generally has plusher seats and the

private rooms are quite a bit more reasonable. Besides, the nearest

Record is out in the Valley.
